10/17/1948 - 1/29/2026

First and foremost, she loved Jesus. Her faith was the quiet foundation of her life, guiding the way she loved, forgave, and showed up for others. It was reflected not in words alone, but in the gentleness and grace she extended to everyone she met.

She found great joy in being part of the Red Hat Society, where laughter and friendship were always close at hand. She was deeply involved in her church, giving her time generously through volunteering and service. One of her greatest passions was sewing handmade dresses for little girls though Christian ministries in Africa, a quiet act of love that reflected her heart for others. She also volunteered with women's prison ministry, where she offered compassion, counsel and hope, sharing her faith and encouragement. She showed her love through acts of service, often cooking meals and quietly caring for others during their times of need.

She will be remembered for a kindness that was never performative and a love that made people feel safe the moment they were with her. Her smile was warm, genuine and unmistakably hers and it had a way of putting others at ease and making them feel seen.

She was an extraordinary wife, devoted to her husband and family with her whole heart. To her children, she was simply the best mom, endlessly loving, fiercely supportive and always present in the ways that mattered most. Her home and her heart were places of comfort, acceptance and unconditional love.

Above all, she had a gentle soul and a good heart, the kind of goodness that didn't seek attention but quietly changed the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Daniel Ritchie; children Cheri (David) Hale, Terry Ritchie, Tiffany (Adam) Ritchie; grandchildren Lexi (Corbie) Walker, Chase (Elisabeth) Ritchie, Rachel (Noah) Landell, Nick (Charlotte) Friesz, Nathan (Sophie) Friesz, Leyla Diop, Caden Ritchie, Abby Ritchie; great-grandchildren, Hudson Walker, Genevieve Ritchie.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
