Nancy Roberson

Nancy Hill Roberson, age 80, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025 while being cared for at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Ewart Allen Hill and Florence Moore Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Yates Edmond Roberson.

Nancy was a graduate of R.S. Central High School and was a woman of many interests. She dearly loved attending church and was a member of Cross Link Baptist Church of Forest City, NC. She also enjoyed attending revivals and gospel music events in the area and was a great fan of NASCAR.

She is survived by four daughters, Melinda Roper (Gary), Sherry Freshour, Shannon Roberson, Christy Henderson (Brandon); two brothers, Joe Hill and Eddie Hill; two grandchildren, Holly Roper and Abby Roper, as well a number of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held 12 PM, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Crowe's Funeral Chapel, 118 College Ave. Rutherfordton NC 28139 with Rev. Tripp Queen, Rev. Cody Allen and Rev. Trey Beaty officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 12 PM, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Crowe's Mortuary. Nancy will be laid to rest following the funeral service in the cemetery of Adaville Baptist Church.
