Nancy Stacy Obituary

Nancy A. Stacy
1933 - 2024
SOUTHWICK
Nancy A. (Steiniere) Stacy, 91, of Southwick, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, at home surrounded by her children. She was born in Springfield, MA on February 21, 1933. Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband William in 2005 and her son Douglas in 2024. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marguerite Steiniere. She graduated from Westfield High School in 1950. She was nominated Peanut Bowl Queen and proudly represented the Westfield High Football Team in 1949. She went on to college at Westfield State where she met and married her late husband.
Nancy was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved to cook and bake, having a heart of contentment in her desire to be a homemaker. Her smile radiated light and warmth, always welcoming, bringing peace to one's heart. She enjoyed attending games of soccer, basketball and baseball/softball at Granby Memorial High School as she cheered and supported the teams coached by her late husband and eldest son. She was a woman of faith, loving the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her friends from church, going to bible study or simply meeting for lunch.
She is survived by her children William Stacy, Jr of Tennessee, Deborah Loomis and her husband Dana of Granville, Annemarie Bacopoulos and her husband Timoleon of Granville, Michael Stacy and his wife Lorrie of South Carolina, her loving daughter-in-law Robin Stacy, widow of Douglas, her sister Gene Devine of Westfield, four grandchildren, Scott, Jamie, Stacy and Nicholas, four great grandchildren, Wrigley, Creda, Calvin and Brooke.
Visiting hours will be Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10 am at Westfield Evangelical Free Church, 568 Southwick Road, Westfield, MA followed by a service at 11 am. There will be a private burial in the spring.
We would like to thank the team from Compassus for their comfort, care and support. Purity of heart is to will one thing, some thinker said while wrestling with the desire to know God. Mrs Stacy embodied the desire of will to know Jesus. Her desire is infectious.
