Send FlowersCRIDERSVILLE -- Nancy Ann Ballinger Strouss, died Monday, October 20, 2025. She was born March 18, 1940, to Hadley and Reba Kamp Ballinger, married to Morris E. Strouss, II on July 3, 1960.
Nancy was a graduate of Kitchel High School and Miami Jacobs Career College in Dayton, Ohio. She worked at NCR from 1959-1960, and then Kewpee Hamburgers Restaurant in Lima, Ohio from 1961 until she retired in 2023, 62 years, first as their bookkeeper, and then serving her beloved customers. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi from 1969 to the present. A member of multiple chapters of Sweet Adelines and the Tune Dusters quartet. Nancy enjoyed singing and listening to music, especially barbershop and Southern Gospel.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, who died in 2022; her parents, Hadley and Reba Ballinger; sister, Betty (Boyd) Brown; brother, Don (Kathleen) Ballinger; mother-in-law, Florence Strouss; and her sister-in-law, Linda Oglesbee.
She is survived by her brother, Earl (Carolyn) Ballinger of Liberty, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Virginia Ballinger, of Liberty, Indiana, and Cheryl Luke, of Vero Beach, Floria, a special friend, Michelle Milazzo of Lima; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Nancy Ann Strouss will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, Ohio. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday. Pastor Ed Shadey will officiate. A sorority service will follow the memorial service by Beta Sigma Phi. Burial will be at West Point Cemetery, West Liberty, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Mercy Health Oncology Department.
