Butch and Nancy had the opportunity to house two German Men's Chorus singers in their home and, later, loved traveling to Germany to spend time with the friends they had made. She will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous lady.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Deborah Swain of Evansville, IN; son, Daniel Swain (Elaine) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Katharine "Katie" Karger of Evansville, IN, and Warner Karger (Kendra) of Uniontown, KY; a great-grandson, Theodore "Theo" Karger; a very dear friend, Peggy Tuley; two special nieces, Jennie Claus and Sara Creamer; a special nephew, Jim Atkins; and niece and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Irvin Carl "Butch" Swain in 2018; a daughter, Rebecca Karger in 2023; her parents; step sister, Charlotte Lambert; and a brother, Robert Atkins.
