Nancy Louise Trepanier-Lohman, age 80, of Simi Valley, California, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Montreal, Canada, to Marion Ruth and Saul Herve Trepanier, Nancy was one of six children, Mary, Betty, Nancy, John, Paul, and Robert. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1952, settling in Long Island, New York, before moving to California in 1956. She graduated from St. Patrick’s School in North Hollywood in 1959 and Grant High School in 1963, later earning her beautician’s license in hairdressing and later serving as a dedicated school aide at Sequoia Junior High and Simi Valley High School.
In 1966, Nancy married Charles Vinci, and they had two children, Donna and Jim. Together, they enjoyed family camping and waterskiing trips and raising their children. In 2003, she married Thomas Lohman, sharing many years of laughter, dancing, traveling, and fun adventures. Nancy’s life was deeply guided by her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which she embraced in 1981 and reflected in all she did.
Nancy’s creativity and zest for life were evident from an early age—she played the cello, crafted, sewed, and decorated classrooms and events with love and care. Her storytelling and enthusiasm brought joy to every room, and she delighted in hosting family gatherings and holiday celebrations, always ready to help those in need.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Lohman; her children, Donna Joaquin and Jim Vinci; her step-children, Heather White and Bill Lohman, her brothers, John, Paul, and Robert Trepanier; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Nancy will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, creativity, and faith-filled life. Nancy loved the Lord, cherished her family, and shared the Lord’s joy with everyone she met. Her faith and love will live on in all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
