Nancy Jean Villao

Nancy Jean Villao, age 82, defined her life through family and helping others.
She attended the School of Nursing at Lutheran Hospital and continued working there as a registered nurse in the surgery department. Nancy later moved to Shelby, Ohio, where she was a private practice nurse. In her later years, she was an active volunteer at her church, worked at the Shelby City Health Department, and also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children.
We are heartbroken to share that Nancy passed away after a brief illness on November 6, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sr. and Anne Kalman, great aunt Anne "Bee" Kalman and brother, Frank Jr., and is survived by her sister, Marianne Kalman.
Nancy is also survived by her children, whom she loved dearly: Fred Villao (Lisa), Ed Villao, Dave Villao (fiancée Katie), and Melinda Goings (Tim). She was a devoted grandmother who formed a special bond with each of her grandchildren, attended all their events-big or small-gave thoughtful gifts, and always made time for each of them. Haylie, Charlotte, Landon, Jacob, Layla and Nora will miss her deeply.
Calling hours for friends and family will be held on Friday, November 14, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N Lyman St., Wadsworth. Interment will begin at 1:30 pm at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmstead.
