Nancy Wandishion

Nancy Wandishion, age 87, of Shelton, entered into rest on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the devoted wife of 62 years of the late Theodore Wandishion. Nancy was born in Derby on March 29, 1938, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Slovak) Matula, and was a lifelong Shelton resident.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and above all else cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is the beloved mother of James Wandishion and his wife Eudora, Karen Kalanick and her late husband Kenneth, Lauren Wandishion, and Lisa Harrison and her husband David, proud grandmother of James Wandishion Jr. (Amanda), Kristen Vaught, Kelly Wandishion, Matthew Wandishion, Aaron Wandishion, Mandy Giminez (Peter), Kenneth Kalanick Jr., and Megan Kalanick, and great grandmother of Alexa, Everly, Nathan, Brooklyn, Carter, and LJ. She is also survived by her siblings, Charles Matula and his wife Joan, Anne Brennan and her husband Harold, and Carol Siglinger, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a beloved daughter, Claire Wandishion.

Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Her procession will leave the parlor for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Margaret Mary Church in Shelton. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
