Nancy Ann Woods Wilson

Nancy Ann Woods Wilson, 66, of Morganton, passed away on December 16, 2017, at her residence following a period of declining health. Nancy was born August 4, 1951, in Caldwell County, to the late John Woods and Wilma Crisp Woods. She had a great love for her children and animals. Nancy enjoyed reading, shopping, and listening to music. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Gary L. Wilson; brother, Joel Sherrill Woods; brother-in-law, Elmer Carver; and sister-in-laws, Judy Woods and Nell Woods. Survivors include daughter, Shannon Woods Moody and husband Ronnie; step-daughter Beverly Wilson Cash; grandchildren, Patrick Shane Cash, Michael Lee Cash, Halie Nicole Gantt, and Kevin Allen Moody; great-grandchildren, Raegan Cagle, Kendall Cagle, and Tucker Cagle; sisters, Laureene Carver, Peggy Woods, and Dovie Harding and husband Dallas; brother, Wayne Woods and wife Patti; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with Pastor Ken Byerly officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
