Nancy Jane Rengel Wilson was born on August 13, 1945, in Edgewood, PA, and passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She and her husband, Roy, met in college and shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a beautiful life, beginning in Cleveland, OH and traveling the world with their three children - Stacy Wilson Daumeyer (Michael), Kevin Wilson (Amy), and Adam Wilson (Mary).
Family was always the center of Nancy's life, and she took great joy in her role as daughter, sister, wife, mother, and particularly grandmother; lovingly known as "Nana" to Noelle, Casey, and Paul Daumeyer; Jack Wilson (Merritt) and their daughter, Eden; Owen Wilson (Emily); Sam Wilson; Parker Wilson; and Adam Wilson Jr.
Nancy spent her childhood summers at Little Point Sable, MI with her parents, Betty and Joe Rengel, her siblings: Sue Rengel Johnson, Carole Rengel Bair, and brothers Peter and David Rengel. Years later, after retiring to Naples, FL, she and Roy built a family summer home at Little Point Sable. This home was always a place filled with laughter, love, and countless memories for their children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.
As a faithful Christian, Nancy loved learning about her faith with her women's bible study group each summer.
Her feisty spirit, quick wit, generous heart, and unwavering love will live on in the many lives she touched. She will be remembered for her laughter, her love of a good story, her fierce devotion to those she cared for, and her ability to make any gathering feel like home. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and togetherness that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date in Little Point Sable, MI, where generations of family and friends will gather in her honor.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to: The Ladder Community Center, 67 N State St, Shelby, MI 49455; www.theladdercommunitycenter.com.
