Ms. Nancy Ziglar Wimple passed on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital in Reidsville, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the McLaurin Memorial Chapel, 721 E. Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC with family visitation one half hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Greenview Cemetery, Montgomery Street, Reidsville, NC and public visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Nancy Ziglar Wimple, was born to the late Rob and Ruby Troxler Ziglar on July 26, 1941 in Rockingham County, North Carolina. She attended the local public schools. After a period of illness, God called her home.
"Big Mama" as she was affectionately called, was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. She was a hard worker and devoted herself to family and friends. Her willingness to share and her concern for others won her many friends who remained dear to her.
Big Mama is resting now with Debra Wimple, Pamela Wimple, Ruby and Rob Wimple.
Those left to cherish precious memories are: son, James Wimple (Shirley) of Syracuse, NY; daughters, Sherdene Y. Wimple, Laura Wimple and Tammy Wimple, all of Reidsville, NC; eight grandchildren, Charles Wimple, Sr., Walter Wimple, Marcus Wimple, Sade Boger, Jermaine Wimple, James Wimple, Walter Mullins, Jr., Britt Mullins; six great-grandchildren, Keyanna Wimple, Tytanna Wimple, Andria Wimple, Charles Wimple, Jr., Cyona Wimple and Jasmine Penn; aunt, Dorothy Troxler of Greensboro, NC; special niece, Paula L. Hall of Reidsville, NC; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Ashton and Yolanda McLaurin and the staff of the McLaurin Funeral Home are serving the family.
