Nancy E. Wright

Nancy E. Wright, age 84, of Mount Pleasant, DE passed away with her sister by her side on November 22, 2025.
She was born on July 1, 1941, in Wilmington, DE to the late Mary & Wm. Kenneth Wright. She graduated from Middletown High School Class of 1959.
Nancy's passion was photographer and was a parttime wedding photographer for 30 years. She worked for Crothers that eventually became Townsends, Inc Grain Mill as a weigh master and clerk for 24 years, Schagrin Gas in the office for 15 years, and Buckworth's hardware which later became Middletown Hardware for 15 years.
She belonged to Grace Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years and led their Ladies Guild. She also was a member and on the board of St. Georges Historical Society, and a member of Friends of Bombay Hook. Nancy enjoyed the outdoors. She loved feeding and watching the birds in her yard, especially the Gold Finches, cutting grass, and gardening once she retired.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, stepmom, Ruth, and brother, William K. Wright, Jr.
She is survived by her loving sister, Marilyn E. Wright.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11 am at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE 19709. Friends may call from 10 -11am. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD.
