Nancy Wyatt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sharpe Funeral Home, Inc. on Nov. 27, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Nancy H. Wyatt was born in Alamance County to Roy Hayes and Callie Currie Hayes. Following a period of declining health, she lovingly became known as Ms. Nancy, Mother Nancy, and Ma Nancy. She passed away on November 26, 2025.

A life of Faith and Service

Nancy was a woman of faith, family, and honor. She was a proud 1965 graduate of Central High School and served the Alamance-Burlington School System for 32 years. She shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Charlie Junior Wyatt.

Devoted Church Member

Nancy was a faithful and dedicated member of Green Level Christian Church until her health declined. During her years of service, she was a member of the kitchen committee and the missionary board. She deeply loved her church family.

Best Mom ever

She was my prayer warrior, my best friend, my sister, and my mom all in one.

As my prayer warrior, she didn't just teach me how to pray-she taught me how to believe, how to trust God when life felt heavy, and how to stand firm even when I felt weak. Her prayers covered me, protected me, and shaped the woman I am today.

As my best friend, she was the one person I could tell anything to. She held every secret, every worry, every joy, and she kept them safe in her heart. With her I was never judged-only loved.

As my sister in spirit, we shared a bond that was playful, joyful, and full of laughter. We did everything together. We laughed until we cried, played like children, and sometimes even dressed alike just because it made us smile.

And as my mom… she was the best there ever was. She knew when to correct me, when to comfort me, and when to simply hold me. She guided me with wisdom but loved me with all her heart. Not once in my life, did I ever doubt her love. It was steady, unconditional, and stronger than anything I have ever known.

Family Preceding Her in Death

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Argrow Warren (Allen), Audrey Hayes, and Shirley H. Brown (Van); and her brothers Clarence "June" Hayes, Leroy Hayes, and Gene Hayes.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved nieces, Mabel Rigsbee and Christie Hayes, and beloved nephews Gary Warren, Ronnie Hayes, James Hayes, and Kenny Hayes.

Those Who Cherish Her Memory

Nancy leaves to cherish her memory:

Her loving husband, Charlie Junior Wyatt

Her daughter, Felicia "Lisa" Moore, and granddaughter Alisha Moore

Two stepsons, Scottie Willis of Greensboro and Deshannon Chambers of Graham

Step-granddaughter Tressa H. Yancey and step-grandson, Bryan Miles

Ten additional step-grandchildren

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her cherished church family

Her Spirit and Legacy

Nancy never met a stranger. She poured out love freely to all through her gentle spirit, warm smile, wisdom, and humor. Always willing to help anyone in need, she gave without expecting anything in return. She never gave up on anyone. Her life was a constant example of Love, Grace, Humility, Faith and Hope.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV)

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
