Nancy Young Obituary
Nancy was born August 23, 1955, in Harrison Township, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Richard Stanley Ford, and Audrey (Critchlou) Ford. On May 4, 1990, she was united in marriage to William E. Young, who preceded her in death on July 12, 2021.
She is survived by two stepsons, William Matthew (Denise) Young, and Christopher (Miranda) Young; five grandchildren, Caitlin Meade (Cole), Christin Young, Matthew Young, Nicholas Young, and Christopher Young; One great grandson Clay Meade: her brother, Rick Ford (Joyce); a niece, Rachel Ford; a great niece Alissa Rhoads; and great nephew Brendan Rhoads.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her nephew.
Nancy will be remembered for her creativity. One of her favorite hobbies was painting rocks, which she joyfully passed out throughout her community. In years past Nancy embraced adventure and the outdoors every season as an avid water skier and snow skier. In recent months she resided at Brookdale Trillium Assisted Living where she was actively engaged in participating in both the bridge club and book club. Nancy's sense of fun and contagious laugh left a lasting impression on all who know her.
A celebration of life will be held 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2025, at the Lake White Club, Waverly, Ohio. Arrangements are under the care of Boyer Cremation Services.
