Naomi Ruth Allen, 98, passed away November 21,2024. She was born January 27, 1926, in Chattanooga, TN, and of the Baptist faith. Naomi was a homemaker until her three boys finished high school, then she enjoyed working in the cafeteria at Ringgold High School for 20 plus years. She expressed her love for the Lord and her appreciation of all His blessings by singing in a trio at her church as well as visiting nursing homes in the area to sing for the residents. Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Norrel Allen; son, Gary Allen; grandson, Jared Allen; mother, Josie Usmiller; father, Fred Usmiller; brothers, Oscar and Gene Usmiller; sisters, Freda Jacobs, Evelyn Lewis and Lorraine Kauffman. Survived by her sons, Danny (Sheila) Allen and Randall (Gisele)Allen; eight grandchildren; twenty-five, great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 27, 2024, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM, at Companion Funeral Home & Crematory, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421. A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave. Chattanooga, TN 37404, with Rev. Gary Clark officiating, at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers Doug Allen, Todd Allen, Bishop Allen, Paul Cole, Edward Rodriguez, and C.D. Thomas. Honorary pallbearers, Dallas Taylor and Sebastien Maris.
