Mrs. Naomi Ann Carter Creasy, age 93, of Westmoreland, TN passed from this life on April 22, 2025. She was born August 8, 1931 to Virgil and Bertha Tuttle Carter in Adolphus, Kentucky. Naomi was the youngest of nine children. She was married to the love of her life, Arnold Creasy, on Christmas day 1950 in Rossville, Georgia. To this union was born three children, Glenn, Marilyn and Tina. Naomi and Arnold lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for the first seven years of their marriage before coming back to Sumner County, Tennessee where they lived for the rest of their lives.
Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, after only seventeen years of marriage. She was widowed at the age of thirty-seven and never remarried.
She was also preceded by her eight siblings, Delbert (Wavie), Hobert (Nadine), Lois Dean Garrison (Cordell), Corbie (Katie), Coy (Mildred), Leo (Mary Elizabeth), Juanita Kirby (Ollie Haden), Quintella Bradshaw (Vern), nineteen nieces and nephews and one son-in-law, Larry Akins.
She is survived by her three children, Glenn Creasy (Donna), Marilyn Akins and Tina Stillwell (Ben); four grandchildren, Tamara, Tyler, Beth and Angie; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way, Jordan, Lucas, Alexander, Emma, Landry, Knox, Melody, Atlas, Lucy and Patrick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
At the death of her husband, with three children, Naomi had to learn how to support her family. She had never worked outside the home nor managed finances. She went to work and paid her bills. She worked at various jobs until she retired at the age of 71. She worked hard and did more than expected. When she retired at 71 from Faultless Caster in Portland, TN she was a lift truck operator loading semi trailers. She loved her yard work, her flowers and her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The service for Mrs. Naomi Creasy will be held on Friday, at 12:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Creasy officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation: Thursday, at 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home and Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at 12:00 PM.
The family have entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one.
