Naomi Marie Wurdeman, age 104, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025. Naomi was born on August 20, 1921, in Cole Camp, Missouri. She was the youngest of eight children and one of only two children that were able to attend high school. After graduating, Naomi and her sister, Ruby, moved to Kansas City and attended the National School of Aeronautics to train for defense work. After training, Naomi was hired at the North American Aviation plant in Kansas City, Kansas, where she worked as as one of the "Rosie the Riverters". After the war, Naomi worked for Sears and Roebuck until her retirement.
Naomi was very devoted to her Lord and was a member of Calvary Lutheran church where she sang in the choir for many years.
Although Naomi never married, she was like a second mom and will always hold a special place in the hearts of all her nieces and nephews.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Anna Wurdeman; brothers and sisters: Katherine, Delia, Lawrence, Albert, Edward, Clarence and Ruby; and her nephews, Paul and Bruce.
Naomi is survived by her nieces and nephews: Bill Wurdeman (Kay), Marijane Wurdeman, Diane Strohacker (Charles), James Wurdeman (Debbie), David Wurdeman (Delores) Richard Wurdeman (Cindy), Debra Busse (Wayne); and many grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10am Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7500 Oak St., Kansas City, MO 64114, with funeral services beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
