Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Sullivan Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

I like to remember Sully as the guy who I say Sully I need this done and it was done. He was the soldier that I wish I had 10 of them like him. Sully let me say that Iam retired now and still think of the Squad and Platoon at Baumholder Germany. You my fellow soldier will always be missed by me and by alot of other fellow team members. ”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Almost 2,100 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and want you know that everyone here at Project Compassion does and will always CARE.
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Kenna

In Memory of Narson ( Debra Estep )

April 25, 2008

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers today.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Narson, but I am remembering on
this day he gave his all.
He is my hero.

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

To the Sullivan family,
Please know that just as your loved one will forever remain in your hearts and minds, his sacrifice and that of your family, will remain with the people he died defending. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss. God grant you the peace that passes all understanding.

I was so sorry to here about sullivan. I was his squad leader in germany then became his platoon sgt. Sullivan was in the top 2% of my platoon. anything I asked him to do he had it done before I could turn around. sully as we called him wanted to stay in germany but didnt have his paperwork ready in time so he had to pcs on to texas. when we heard the news it tore the whole company up. me I like to think as sully as a guy who was there always for his friends, never had a bad word to say about anyone, and a real go getter. sully u will be missed by everyone. I used to let a few soldiers and I mean very few call me "old man". but if he was here right now he could call me old man anytime.

My sympathies to Narson's family. I went to the North Brunswick schools with Narson and his sister Natasha. Narson was a great guy, who always made me laugh. I had not seen him for seven or eight years but his personality and spirit is still clear in my mind. I remember him as an energetic guy whose positive nature and gentle disposition made him many friends. He will be missed by all. Narson died for his country and that is something that should be revered in a time where military service is declining. Rest in Peace Narson.

I knew Sullivan when I was stationed in Germany, we were stationed in the same unit but our company was split up in two different cities. I would see him often when grups of soldiers would visit people or if we would get together as a company for training. We had went out occasionally to clubs or out on the town to relax. I was always impressed by his dameanor, he never spoke too much or too little. I always felt as if I never knew enough about Sullivan because he always seemed to have more than he showed. From reading some of the messages others have written I know I am right. During the first few months of the Operation I was stationed in Kuwait as a Liason in one of the HeadQuarters for the Brigade that Sullivan and I was in while in Germany. I was the first soldier of his prior unit to recieve the information of his passing. I knew the Medic soldiers in the HQ and they knew he was a Military Police so one of the Medics came to me to see if he was underneath our command. I immediately recognized his name and informed my NCOIC (boss) who was actually Sullivans Squad Leader while he was stationed with us in Germany. Even though I knew little of Narson I still think of him to this day. When I feel down or see myself letting my potential slip away I think of Narson. I do my best to live my life for the both of us and talk to him often, that is my promise. In my heart I hear him pushing me, joking me, applauding me, and sometimes reminding me of the promise I made. thank you for the time and peace to you all.
