Cookeville, TN - Obituary for Nathan E. Marsh

Nathan E. Marsh, born at Washoe Medical Center Reno, NV. and, passed away peacefully at his home in Cookeville, TN. He was known for his compassionate spirit and his unwavering dedication to helping others throughout his life and career.

Nathan's work life was as varied as it was meaningful. He spent time at UPS, Tesla, and Panasonic, where he was admired for his strong work ethic, reliability, and steady, positive presence. But it was his service to the State of Nevada that truly reflected who he was. Nathan began his career working with troubled teens, offering guidance, structure, and encouragement to young people who needed someone to believe in them.

His desire to make a difference eventually led him to Tennessee, where he continued his life's work as an advocate and caregiver for children and adults with autism. Nathan's kindness, patience, and deep empathy touched the lives of those he supported and the communities around them. Many will remember him as a steady hand and a caring heart when things were hardest.

Nathan was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Evelyn H. Snell; his Father, Jack B. Marsh, his Aunt, Judi F. Vassar Wicker, and his biological Mother, Paula L. (Marsh) Martinez.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie L. Snell (Heinrich) Marsh, his brother Glenn R. Marsh, Dominic McLean, his Cousin Sean T. Marsh, his Aunt Sybil Snell (Maldonado) Whittemore, his Uncle James (Robin) Snell, his wife Henri Snell, his Aunt Cindy I. Snell Whitworth McLean, and her husband, Steve and along with many other beloved family members.

Those who knew Nathan will remember his generosity, his warmth, and his quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and service. The many lives he helped and hearts he touched will carry his memory forward.
