Nathan R. Plagmann, 44, of
Billings, Montana, passed away unexpectedly while running on August 17, 2023.
Nathan was born on October 26, 1978, to Richard and Karen Plagmann in
Billings, Montana. Nathan was welcomed into the world by his parents and his brother Shay. Nathan grew up fishing, hunting, and exploring the wilderness with his father and brother. Nathan graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1997. Nathan went on to graduate from MSU- Billings with his degree in business in 2002. During this time, Nathan was mentored in the fly-fishing guiding business by Jim McFadyean.
For years, Nathan dated the love of his life, Alicia Dye. They were married at a wonderful celebration on July 24, 2010, in
Missoula, Montana. Nathan and Alicia went on to have 2 children, Vick (11) and Lyla (8). These two children are their parents' treasure and Nathan loved being their father more than anything in his life. Nathan and Alicia enjoyed taking their children on trips, teaching them to ski, watching Vick play baseball and karate, and watching Lyla do gymnastics and play soccer.
Nathan was known for his infectious personality and his ability to make everyone around him happy and full of laughter. Nathan enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Nathan loved to fish and hunt and hike the backcountry of Montana. Nathan had a large circle of friends, and the family would like to thank them for their love and kindness through this difficult time.
Nathan is survived by his loving wife Alicia and his two children Vick and Lyla. He is also survived by his parents Rick and Karen, his brother Shay, in-laws Jack and Robin Dye, and Megan and Kiva Bostrom, along with his nieces and nephews.
Nathan is preceded in death by his grandparents, and two special family friends Cecil and Myrtle Storm, who loved him dearly.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place on Friday, August 25th, at 11:00 AM at Camelot Ranch in
Billings, Montana.
