Nathan Russell Obituary
TRUMANN - Nathan Russell, 71, of Trumann, departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Trumann. He was born May 29, 1954, in Kansas City, Kan., to the late Hubert and Lottie Carpender Russell and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a truck driver, and he preached at Hwy Valley Church for several years. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Christy Russell; one grandson, Jonathan Smith; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Russell of the home; two sons, Bobby (April) Russell, Sr., and Jackie Russell; two sisters, Vonda (Bobby) Taylor and Theresa (Donald) Ealey; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today, March 11, from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel with Nicky Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Russell, Jr., Jake Pierce, Daniel Tucker, Dale Cooper, Larry Wheeler, Keith Blasingame, Mark Oldman, and Calvin Gann. Honorary pallbearers are John Oldman and Tony Hicks.
