I will miss you my friend,words can not describe the loss that so many of us feel with your passing.

my heartfelt condolences to all of Dirk's family and friends. I did not know Dirk, but the outpouring of grief and loss has reverberated around the Virginia, Maryland and DC areas. I wanted to let you all know I am keeping you all in my heart and sending you warm thoughts.

Dirk, you've always been a good man and a great friend for the 15 years I've known you. I miss you, my friend. Rest in peace.

My dearest brother, I will miss you beyond words. To Wes and all the family, I am so sorry and am here for you if you need me.

I met him once in passing, he made such an impression. Kind, witty, and a ball of energy everyone wanted to talk to and be around. I was young and new to being with lots of people so I didn't talk, I just stayed at the fringe of the group and listened.

I will miss him dearly, the world just got a little darker. He was a wonderful man who was and always will be loved by many.

My deepest Sympathy to family and relatives. His absence is heavy.
