Nathaniel (Nate) was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the loving parents of Joseph and Devonne Calabrese. Nate was one of three boys, older brother Jason, and younger brother Neil. Nate's early life was both typical and atypical. He was born with caudal regression, but that did not slow him down at all. His engaging personality earned him the honor of being the March of Dimes ambassador for Northeast Ohio at ages 4 and 5. Even with his disability, sports were a big part of Nate's childhood, with baseball, football and basketball, often playing in the yard for hours at a time. Nate grew up in Ohio, living in Cleveland and Akron, later going to school in Columbus, Ohio at The Ohio State University before later attending and graduating from Xavier in Cincinnati. Nate received both his bachelor's degree from Xavier University along with his MBA. He was a long-standing Finance executive for Sysco Corporation, having worked for them his entire career. He lived in Cincinnati for 15 years before eventually moving to Houston, Texas, where he has lived for the last 10 years. Nate had an engaging personality. Competitive by nature, he could always be counted on to express his opinion about any topic, but found real passion in sports and movies, whether it was discussions about the Buckeyes, about being a tortured Cleveland sports fan, or about the next Marvel or Star Wars movie. Nate was also the ultimate road tripper. He drove across the country, having a goal to drive to all corners of the United States, a feat he nearly accomplished. He enjoyed the road and the journey it represented. Nate also cared deeply for his family. He was always interested in what the rest of the family was doing, especially his nieces and nephews. Marrying his competitiveness with his family allegiance, he always strived to earn "favorite uncle" status. Nate is survived by his loving family, his parents Joseph and Devonne, his brothers Jason and Neil, his sister in laws Kristin and Jessica, and his nephews and nieces Maximilian, Aurelia, Wyatt and Charlotte. Visitation will be held at Palm Royale Funeral Home & Cemetery on Thursday, March 20, 2025 starting at 11:00 am. The service will begin around 12:30 pm, Immediately following Burial at 1:00 pm.

I could always count on Nate to already know what joke I was going to make before I started typing on IM. He was the most no nonsense, but also quick to crack a joke guy! I really enjoyed working with him and getting to know him over the years! Gone too soon - you will be missed!
