On July 11, 2024, our sweet Nathan fell into the loving arms of Jesus. He was the son of Mark and Tammy Crabtree, brother of Ryan and Brandon Crabtree and brother-in-law of Laura Crabtree. He had four nieces and nephews. He was the grandson of John and Arke Burrus.
Nathan graduated from Baylor University and received a Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in bioinformatics. He was intelligent, but his greatest asset was his kind gentle spirit and loving heart. As his friends and family know, he was always open to new ideas and possibilities. A conversation with Nathan was both interesting and thought provoking.
Nathan enjoyed music immensely and played several instruments. He found refuge gardening and walking in nature. He loved his family and was loved by all. He is a bright flame that will never burn out in our memories. His love and the love of our Heavenly Father will someday mend our broken hearts.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday, Aug 15, 2024 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm with the service following at 6:00pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springfield Nature Center, 1923 N Weller, Springfield, MO 65803.
