Nathaniel Scalia Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium on Jan. 16, 2025.
Nathaniel S. Scalia, age 90, was the cherished son of the late Joseph and the late Carmela Scalia, dear brother to his late twin brother, Tony, father of Dee (Rick) Scalia-Dingman, and David Scalia, and Steve Scalia (Penny, Sandy, Stephanie, Stacy, Tracy, Aaron). As well as the devoted brother, to the late Joseph, father of Heather (Francis), Joe (Barbara), Sarah (Christina Thienel) Scalia, Luke (Jacky), Jason (Alisa), Jeremy, Gianna, and Jacob, Jennifer (Jay) Kuether, Ava, Noelle, and Ryan. Dog Dad to many - Abby, Daisy, Sophia, BamBam, Lacey, and Shadow, just to name a few.
Nathaniel was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Uncle Nate loved his family more than anything else. He wholeheartedly enjoyed hosting parties and gathering everyone together: a true definition of a family man. He was a Godfather to many of the nieces and nephews. He has been a strong foundation for his entire family.
Uncle Nate's cars were epic, he purchased a new car every 2-3 years, Lincolns, Honda's, Chevy's and Fords, etc. On the weekends Uncle Nate took great pleasure in watching Indy 500 and NASCAR racing, Chicago White Sox and Cubs baseball, as well as Notre Dame football. He also had a wicked sense of humor. We will cherish all of our fond memories of Uncle Nate.
A Celebration of Life will be hosted at the family home on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 3:30 until 7:30 p.m. A brief prayer service will be conducted beginning at 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly requesting donations to be made in Uncle Nate's memory to the American Kidney Fund.
