Mr. Nathaniel H. Washington

WASHINGTON, Mr. Nathaniel - Age 86, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Washington will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with memorial visitation Friday, May 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Mr. Nathaniel Washington "Hank" was born August 2, 1936 in Brunswick, Georgia, the son of Annie Mae and James Washington. He accepted Christ at an early age and shared his love of Christ with his children. "Hank" retired from Fisher Guide Coldwater, a division of General Motors Corporation after 42 years of service. He was a kind hearted and a dependable man to family and friends. "Hank" kept himself busy after retiring coaching Ladies Softball, fishing, and playing cards. He especially enjoyed a game of Checkers and traveling with his family. "Hank" served on Westwood Heights board of Education and also work for the State of Michigan Transportation. To know him is to love him.
Mr. Nathaniel Washington "Hank" leaves to cherish his memory: 3 daughters and 1 son, Angela R. Wilkerson of Flint, Carlos (Kanika) Wilkerson of Aurora, CO, Kenja N. Smith of Grand Blanc, MI, and Nekeisha (Hersel) Hutcherson of Canton, MI; 3 siblings, Betty Patterson of Hamilton, NJ, Lottie Byrd of New Port Richey, FL and Elder Agnes Naphier of Burton, MI; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Charles Pringle of Tennessee, Frank Thornton and Dominick "Mickey" Gale, both of Flint.
Mr. Washington was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Eula Washington; daughter, Trudie Ann Hughley; parents, Annie Mae and James Washington; and brother, Paul Miller.
