NATIA JEANNE MARIE HAGAR WHITEFIELD, NH --Natia Jeanne Marie Hagar was carried to eternity in the arms of angels on March 25, 2021. Born to Nathan Roy Hagar and Niccole Jeanne Vike on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, Wisconsin. Natia was a happy baby, with a bright and sunny personality. Even when she was very little, she loved all sorts of music. Throw on some Johnny Cash, and she would be dancing all over the room, just for her own entertainment. She had no fear of anything. She loved adventure, and flew by herself from the age of 8, travelling back and forth between Wisconsin and New Hampshire. She got to see a lot of the country: Boston, Chicago, Oregon, Arizona, and Niagra Falls. She had a lot of miles under her belt, and attended her first Concert at 2 years old, Phil Lesh and Friends. Natia moved with her "Madre" to New Hampshire in 2009. She started school in Groveton, where she made lots of friends. They then moved to Whitefield, and Natia was a Whitefield Pirate from grades 1-8. She loved her new Whitefield friends, and was a complete social butterfly, keeping up with her friends in both towns. It was never hard to get her to want to go to school, because that was where her friends were. It was only hard to get her to keep up with the work! Natia loved being active. As she grew, she found many interests. She was president of her 4-H group. She was super athletic, playing soccer and especially was a "brute" at field hockey. She was so proud of her team going undefeated in her second year. Natia had a Special place in her heart for her team and "Coachie." She even wrestled! But she was so kind-hearted, she never wanted to hurt anybody. In wrestling, her mom had to tell her "Don't be so nice!" She took part in Whitefield School's "Gong Show" with friends, Maddie and Kenzie. She was super proud of their performance – using music from the 1950s to the 21st century, and choreographing dance moves for each song, from the Mashed Potato to the Twist to Turn Down For What, with their own moves. She loved all sorts of music, from Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton to Five Finger Death Punch, oldies to country to rap to New Age. She would always be singing and would sing along with anything. Even when no one was around, she loved being able to hear herself, and dance when no one was watching. Natia loved being able to just enjoy nature, taking long walks and being outdoors. She loved snowmobiling, and riding with her mom on her motorcycle, even working on the bike to customize it for herself. She took the time during Covid and changed the color to what she wanted it to be with Quint B., she enjoyed the transformation to make it her own. A transplanted Wisconsin Cheesehead, she loved the Packers. She loved cheese curds, and would happily argue with you about which was better, New England sharp cheddar or Wisconsin cheese. In her mind, Wisconsin cheese won hands down. She loved sushi, raw oysters, and being able to cook. She loved her dogs Sadie and Harley and loved playing practical jokes, and being on the receiving end of them too. She loved to babysit, especially the twins with Jayce, and those she took care of felt she was their protector. She loved wearing Birkenstocks, with socks, whatever the weather – and the socks never matched! She knew who she was and let her personality shine! She also loved school and her kindergarten teacher Mrs. Wheelock. Natia was so excited when she started High School at White Mountains Region last fall. She was proud of her Mexican heritage, and her parents and aunts were planning for her Quinceanera this year. She had her future all planned out. She could have been a photographer, since she loved taking pictures, but she would have also been a great lawyer, since she was never shy about arguing her case! What she wanted to do, was to be a Badger at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and to become a marine biologist. Natia was always curious about the world and the people in it. She was an old soul, wise beyond her years. She was wicked strong – stronger than she, and most ever knew. Natia leaves behind her loving mother Nicci, of Whitefield. along with Eric Thompson and his daughter Ivee; her father Nate, of Janesville, Wisconsin; her paternal grandfather Efrain Montes and his wife Bertha; aunts and uncles Karen, Janet, Pedro and Oscar Montes of Beloit, Wisconsin and Mexico; and a special cousin Lily; step-grandfather Chris Guage both of Janesville, Wisconsin; maternal grandparents Richard and Barbara Vike of Groveton, New Hampshire; and uncle Richard Vike III; aunt Crystal and cousin Kaylynn, and many dearly loved family and friends from West to the East Coast. Natia's bright light will always shine in their hearts and live on, within us, forever. SERVICES – A Celebration of Life will be held at 47 Bray Hill Road, Whitefield, NH, on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 11:00 AM followed by a tree planting then by lunch, a bonfire after 5:00 PM, and fireworks and Chinese Lanterns light off at dark.
