I was a student in one of Dr. Mohan's very first classes at the U in the mid-1970s. It was difficult to avoid his immense force field while working in power electronics. He was a fabulous leader and a friend.

I met Ned over 20 years ago, taking his Power Electronics classes at the U. Not only an expert in his field, but one of the most passionate teachers I have ever met. After I graduated, we continued to work together in the power industry and have been friends for a long time. He was always so positive and optimistic. I will miss him dearly.

Remembering Ned will always bring a smile to my face as whenever Ned came to my office he never left without sharing his smile at least once during his visit. Also many of his smiles were followed by a small chuckle. He was such a pleasant man to work with, so thankful to have known and worked with Ned.

When I received my acceptance letter from the U of M and learnt that Prof Mohan was assigned as my academic advisor, I was thrilled and my undergraduate professors were very proud of my achievement. His contributions to the field of power electronics are unparalleled and it has been a great honor to study under his guidance.

I met him first time at IIT Delhi during my PhD and while introduction he told me that he belongs to Jabalpur MP, which is my home state. During Conversation I felt like having a true mentor. He was such a great personality that with him you always feel great. He always encouraged to do good for society and have a never give up attitude. I feel a personal loss and pray that he must be embraced by the almighty with love.

I am very sorry to hear of Ned Mohan's passing. I had met him in Minnesota on my several lecture visits and we had long been in correspondence. He was an outstanding engineer, and a world-leader in his field. He was greatly devoted to Hinduism's knowledge tradition. He will be much missed.

Ned Mohan whom I called affectionately, Uncle was a very loved part of our Temple. He was involved and was an ambassador as well. He would take time to talk to many of the volunteers including myself. His words only overshadowed by his kindness and caring for pretty much everyone around him. He will be missed dearly.
