Born on March 19, 1934, in Mosquero, New Mexico, Neda spent her early childhood in this charming town before moving to Albuquerque, which she embraced as her lifelong home. In Albuquerque, she established not only a successful career but also a warm and loving family while creating a lasting legacy that will endure through generations.
Neda enjoyed a prosperous career with AT&T, from which she retired at a young age, showcasing the determination and foresight that were hallmarks of her character. Never one to remain idle, she subsequently ventured into property management and real estate investments. Through these endeavors, Neda exhibited her resourcefulness and drive as a businesswoman, earning the respect and admiration of her peers. She took immense pride in building something meaningful, considering the impact her efforts would have on her family’s future.
At the heart of Neda’s life was her immense love for her family. Her every action was fueled by a desire to provide, protect, and create a legacy for her loved ones. The strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion she demonstrated will continue to guide and inspire those who were blessed to know her.
Neda was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her grandson Larry. She is survived by her devoted daughter Tracy; her granddaughter Celeste; her son-in-law Dominic; her cherished great-grandchildren; and her longtime partner, Jim Whitehead.
Neda J. Powell will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.
