The exceptional man, Nedal Ibraheim Aiad Salem Dababneh passed from life to eternal life on the Lord's Day, September 25, 2022. He was 64. Nedal was intelligent, compassionate, dependable, a man of great integrity and easy on the eyes! He was a faithful husband and my friend.
Nedal was born on May 5, 1958 in Mafrek, Jordan. He was a son of Ibraheim and Nejla Dababneh. Nedal is survived by his wife Karla; brother Niem; sisters Amel, Mia, Mona, Wafa, and Suzan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that he was proud of and loved. He attended The International University of San Diego, earned his B.S. degree in Education at MSU Billings with honors. He graduated Cum Laude with a conversion in Mathematics, and received three scholarships. He was the recipient of the Golden Apple Award while teaching at Riverside Middle School and said "I will lay a foundation in math that will enable the kids to do any math." Nedal was employed with School District #2 and taught at Castlerock Middle School.
Nedal loved his native country of Jordan as well as America, a patriot. He became an American citizen in 1978. He enjoyed life! His favorite place was the Pacific Ocean in San Diego and in Montana, it was in his garden with his hot peppers and gladioli. Mr. D was an amazing cook who excelled at making various dishes. He enjoyed spending time with man's best friend, Honeybear, and his cat Don Diego. The family had no idea, until recently, that Nedal was so admired and appreciated by so many. Amazing!!
Special thanks to Dr. Shadi, his nephew in Detroit, for his knowledge and guidance throughout Nedal's illness. Also thanks to Jade and Jonathon Sualata and Ricco Martinex for your help and continued support. Karla would also like to acknowledge Cathy Earles; the staff and students at Castle Rock Middle School (thank you to the kids for the great art work); Scott Reiter; Vicki and Pastor Dave Thompson with Thompson Lawn Care for caring for the yard; Donel Small; Rita Borsheim; the doctors and nurses who cared for Nedal; and the family, friends, and strangers who prayed for him.
Nedal was a man of faith who put his trust in Jesus Christ on Labor Day 1979. With that blessed assurance, he yet lives; but is so missed and longed for here.
Private Graveside Services will be held at Mountview Cemetery in Billings.
