Mrs. Nedra Kenyatta Core, 47 of Valley, AL passed away on June 9,2025.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, 2:00 PM EST at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Valley, AL, Reverend Karanja Story | Pastor, Reverend Chris Jackson | Officiating.
Nedra's memory will forever be cherished by her children: Jada Dent and Harlee Brooks of Auburn, AL, and Malik Dent of Tuscon, Arizona; her granddaughters: Zora Dent and Xyla Dent, both of Newnan, GA; her loving mother, Priscilla Holloway of Valley, AL; her father, Stanley Jackson of Dayton, OH; her brother, Bransi (Erin) Brooks of Dothan, AL; her stepsister, Kanisha Holloway, Opelika, AL; her aunts: Debora (Otis) Roberts, Tanya Gates, both of Lanett, AL; Brenda (Marvin) McCulloh, Linda Booker, both of Valley, AL; Wanda Isom, Cleveland, OH; and Henrietta Hughes, Atlanta, GA; uncles: Henry (Annette) Brooks, Jr., Henry L. Jackson; and Anthony (Bernice) Frazier, all of Valley, AL; Otis (Kathy) Jackson, Panama City, FL; and Johnny Isom, Cleveland, OH; a special uncle, George "Billy" McCants, Jr., Valley, AL; special cousins: Nakesha Brooks, Taranesha Brooks; Richanda (Reginald) Moss, Elisious Boyd, Zantamarious Boyd, Stephanie Jackson, Yasmin Johnson, Rev. Christopher (Cythnia) Jackson, Martinez Booker, Connery (LaShawta) Booker, Kemiski (Deketria) Jackson, Henricus (Dinesha) Sherrell, and Eric Frazier; special friends: Marcia (Johnny) Thomas, Natalie Fannings, Jacqueline Ramsey; and Charmeka Brown; and a host of other cousins, special friends, and extended family whose lives she touched deeply.
Her legacy also lives on through the countless children and families blessed by her kind heart and nurturing spirit. Mrs. Nedra Kenyatta Brooks Core was a woman of faith, love, and purpose. Her presence, warmth, and dedication will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
