Rev. Neil Butler

Rev. Neil Butler, age 75, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, surrounded by his girls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Ruth Butler, and wife of 51 years, Mary Ellen Butler. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Gilbert (Larry), Monica Coker (Billy), Beth Grodzicki (Joe) all of Winder; grandchildren, Carolina Gradzicki, Abbey Coker, and Joseph Grodzicki; brother, Tony Butler of Atlanta.
Neil was an active member of Victory Baptist Church in Lawrenceville. He served several ministries for many years as Sunday School teacher, Nursing home Chaplain, Prison Chaplain, Associate and Senior Pastor, he also planted two churches. Neil loved baking peanut butter cake, peanut brittle, pecan pie, and canning pepper sauce. He loved gardening, fishing, visiting Hard Labor Creek, Tybee Island, attending Men's Bible Study at Sweet Baby Jane's every Thursday morning as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. Neil was an avid Green Bay Packers, Georgia Bulldogs, and when they weren't losing the Atlanta Falcons fan.
A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Rev. Neil Butler, will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 2:00PM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Billy Coker, Rev. William Jackson, and Rev. Derek Spain, officiating. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27th from 3:00PM-8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Victory Baptist Church c/o Bill Foster, Treasure 317 Bell Wood Road Jefferson, GA 30549. The family asks that you come attend in your favorite red and black attire or Georgia Bulldogs attire.
