Neil Gatten Obituary
Neil was born to Jesse and Lucy Gatten on December 6, 1932 and lived in Danbury, Wisconsin until graduating from Webster High School in 1951. He then enlisted in the United States Navy where he served on the USS Polaris (AF-11) and the USS Delta (AR-9). After 4 years of service he returned to Danbury where he met the Dairy Queen of Webster Wisconsin Anna Faye Bushey whom he fell in love with and married on June 7, 1958. Three daughters followed. Neil worked for 36 years at Honeywell Corporation before retiring and perusing his hobby of restoring antique cars and of course spending more time with his wife.
Neil is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anna Faye; daughters Peggy Sandmann (Mark), Pamela Olson (Keith), and Korliss Schlagel; sister: Ardath Gatten; brother-in-law Robert Bushey (Julie), sisters-in-law Kay Sellman (Duane), and Connie Bushey; 11 grand children, 22 great-grandchildren and Debbie Redling.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Dennis Gatten, Preston Gatten, and Ted Gatten; sisters: Edrie Phernetton, Beatrice Olson and Blythe Bejlovec; brother-in-law Vernon Bushey.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Accent Care and all the friends and family that helped care for him.
Funeral to be held on Wednesday May 14. Visitation at 9:00am with service at 10:00am. A light lunch will be served afterwards.
