Brother in-laws too many to name, Uncle, Great Uncle and truly great friend to many.
If you encountered Neil, his familiar greeting was "What's up dog?". Neil was easy to chat with and usually had you laughing. Very much a jokester; he loved dishing it out and was pretty good at taking it. His heart was incredible. He would try to help everyone.
He was always super organized; everything had its place and he knew if you moved something or put it back in the wrong spot.
I am losing the love of my life. There was never a dull moment with Neil. We had the best adventures alone, with the kids, and with incredible friends. When I did something stupid or was over served he still claimed me and would say "That's my Bride" !! We hiked plenty of beautiful places, two of our favorites: Angels Landing in Zion National Park and Grand Canyon North to South Rim. NOLA Music Festival where Nate Kruse recommended the best places for food, drink, and laughter. What a fun group for Mizzou Football in Tempe AZ. D got us AZ Cardinal tickets with a credit card loaded with money and was surprised we were intoxicated at the end of the game. So many more great trip memories.
Neil must have built 20 washer boards for family and friends. He also won lots of tournaments.
Neil was a five-time champion and member of the May Cup Horseshoe Hall of Fame, he was always considered a formidable opponent and a welcomed partner. His smooth pitching style was matched by his calm demeanor.
World Class Landscaper predominately planting perennials. Brought a plastic bag on many hikes snatching seeds from everywhere and planted them in our yard. He planted extra in the back of the yard and shared with family and friends.
Neil is a North American Martyrs graduate. Four out of seven sisters married North American Martyr graduates.
Neil loved to give out nicknames. We all have very good memories that when we think about Neil we will surely chuckle. His legacy will continue to live through our wonderful memories of our time together with him.
