Mrs. Nelda Jo Bishop

Nelda Jo Bishop entered into the heavenly gates in the early morning hours of January 9, 2013 at a local hospital. She was born on October 12, 1932. She is survived by her Husband Allyn Bishop of 27 years, Daughters Debra & Emilio Delva of Lufkin, TX, Nancy and Bill Dufel of Fort Hunter NY, Numerous Grand children, Great- Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. Nelda was an active volunteer for 12 years at the Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena TX. She spent a lot of time making various items by hand for the patients there. She was an active member for many years at Deer Park United Methodist Church in Pasadena TX. Nelda was a very loving and supportive woman, her life revolved around her family, friends, volunteer work, supporting and helping others. She was pre- deceased by her parents, Son David, Brothers Kenneth and Sidney, Sister Virginia and several Grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are officiated by the Pasadena Funeral Chapel at 2203 Pasadena Blvd. Family will receive friends from 12:30pm – 1:00pm and the funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday January 12, 2013, conducted by the Reverends Royce Scott, and Michael Peschke. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that donation's be made to the Bayshore Hospital Volunteer Scholarship Fund.
