Nelda Ann Deaton

Mrs. Nelda Ann Deaton's journey began on December 18, 1946, in McNairy County, TN, as the cherished daughter of Elmo Jackson and Annie Bob Webb Crawford. On December 12, 1964, she joined hands in marriage with Neal Deaton, whose memory she held dear even after his passing on October 28, 1981.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Deaton dedicated herself to caring for others as a nurse. She found solace and community in the Adamsville church of Christ and proudly graduated as part of the Ramer High School class of 1964.

Among her many joys in life were the companionship of her beloved dogs, sunny days spent at the beach, and the thrill of attending concerts. Her passion for music led her to attend over 50 concerts by her favorite band, Alabama.

On June 5, 2024, in Adamsville, Tennessee, Mrs. Deaton passed away at the age of 77 Years, 5 Months, 18 Days. Left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, Randall Deaton and wife Sherry of Finger, TN, Stacey Deaton and wife Anji of Selmer, TN;  four grandchildren: Alison Deaton, Claire Wheeler and husband Parker, Will Deaton, Kate Deaton; two great-grandchildren: Keanu Deaton and Cyrus Wheeler. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Deaton was preceded in death by a brother, David Crawford.
