Mercedes- Nelda Nora Garcia Dillard, 71, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at her residence in Mercedes.
Mrs. Dillard was born on September 19, 1953 to Mr. Ignacio A. Garcia and Mrs. Nora Sierra Garcia in Mercedes, Texas.
Mrs. Dillard is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Dillard; her son, Jerrek Garcia Dillard; her parents, Mr. Ignacio A. Garcia and Mrs. Nora Sierra Garcia and her grandson, Felix Rodriguez III.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Tylene (Alejandro) Rodriguez; her brother, Sergio Garcia; her sisters, Leticia Garcia, Sylvia Renee Garcia, Melissa Pimental, Michelle Garcia; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Nelda Nora Garcia Dillard is scheduled for Friday, February 21, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 10:00 am at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens. Interment will follow at Ebony Grove Cemetery in Mercedes.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
