Nelda Jane Landreth

On February 26, 2026, our beloved mother, Nelda Capps Landreth, age 86 (born March 17, 1939), was called home to be with the Lord. She has been reunited in heaven with her husband, Charles Robert "Bob" Landreth and two of her children, Sharon Tilson and Eric Landreth. She was the daughter of Harley and Emily Capps of Hendersonville, NC, and sister to Melva Allen, who all preceded her in death.

As a Christian mother, Nelda raised her children in the way of the Lord, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust Him always. Her unwavering belief and love for the Lord Jesus Christ shone through every aspect of her life.

As a dedicated homemaker, she lovingly perfected cooking, canning, crocheting and sewing for her family. Nelda set an example for her children by living a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible. She shared her faith through kindness, compassion and an unyielding trust in God's plan. She often played mother to all of the neighborhood children while they played with her kids in their yard.

Nelda is survived by her children, Keith Landreth (Sandra) and Karon Goolsby, as well as seven grandsons, Shawn, Kaleb, Eli, Isaiah, Zeb, Dustin, and Cody. She also had two granddaughters, Layla and Katana and eleven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at Calvary Baptist Mission on March 1, 2026. Visitation will be at 2 PM followed by the service at 3 PM with Revs. Allen Aiken and Eddie Dodson officiating. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
