Nelina Nunes

Nelina Nunes, age fourteen, passed away on November 25th, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, kindness, and a bright, shy smile that warmed every room. Though her time with us was far too short, she touched hearts with a grace and sincerity far beyond her years.
Soft-spoken but steady, Nelina carried a calm courage that comforted those around her. She had a way of listening deeply, offering support without fanfare, and finding light even in difficult moments. Her laughter-gentle, unexpected, and always genuine-was a gift to all who heard it.
She loved music, painting, making charm bracelets and found joy in reading her Bible, and held a special tenderness for family and friends. Those who knew her will remember her for the small but brilliant moments she created: thoughtful gestures, quietly determined effort, and the soft glow of her presence.
Nelina is survived by her mother, Fatima Andrade; father, Lino Nunes; stepmother, Maria Nunes; siblings, Newlino Nunes, Marlyno Nunes, Elisa Brandao, Elayne Nunes; Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who will forever cherish her love and the beautiful, delicate love she shared with them.
Her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fill, but her spirit lives on in the lives she brightened. We take comfort in knowing her gentle light remains, guiding us with the same quiet courage she carried every day.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton, followed by interment in Melrose Cemetery Brockton. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 5th from 5:00-8:00 PM.
