Nell Kimberlain

Nell Kimberlain, 96, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully in the early morning of September 7, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Highland Cemetery pavillion in Iowa Park, Texas. Services are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. A video of Nell's life will play, accompanied by her favorite hymns.
The daughter of Claude and Gerlene Reaves, Nell was born on December 25, 1925, in Iowa Park, Texas. In 1943, Nell fell in love and married Royce Gayle Kimberlain from Pikeville, Kentucky. "Roy" was an airman on a bomber crew during World War II. Together, Nell and Roy had two children, Royce and Janet.
Nell was a longtime member of the Iowa Park Church of Christ, and later Edgemere Church of Christ in Wichita Falls, where her beloved son-in-law, Richard "Dicky" Findley, served as an elder for many years.
Nell was an outstanding student, graduating as Valedictorian of her high school class at W.F. George High School in Iowa Park. She turned down several college scholarships to begin her career as a housewife and loving mother. She was outstanding at both of these roles. She and her husband, Roy, taught Bible classes for many years at the Iowa Park Church of Christ. Together they owned and operated ten coin-o-matic- laundries and dry-cleaners.
When Roy died at the age of 39 from a sudden heart attack, Nell decided to attend nursing school. She became an LVN, spending much of her career helping bring countless newborns into the arms of new mothers at Wichita General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Reaves; her mother, Gerlene Reaves; sister, Sue Jones; and her daughter, Janet Findley of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Nell will be tremendously missed by her family. This includes: her son, Royce Gayle Kimberlain II and his wife Marcie; her son-in-law, Richard "Dicky" Findley; grandson, Kent Kimberlain and wife April; granddaughter, Dena Dodge and husband Lee; grandson, Jon Paul Findley and wife Michelle; grandson Kirk Findley and wife Stacey; grandson Scott Findley and wife Gayle; grandchildren, Ariel Kimberlain, Colton Kimberlain, Emileigh Dodge, Andre Emanuelli, Camden Findley, Greyson Findley, Analyn Findley, Kinsler Findley, Andrew Findley and wife Eden, Ryan Findley, Jordan Findley, Evan Findley, and Jenna Findley; and great-granddaughter, Selah Grace Findley.
