Mm Nelle Pierce Fox, age 81, of Brownsville, TN, passed away peacefully at the Sugar Creek Senior Living Community on Monday, December 23, 2024. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Westside Church of Christ with Bro. Larry Harper officiating. There will be a visitation starting at 12:00 PM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
Nelle was born on April 5, 1943 in Fayette County, TN to Harold D. and Alice Hungerford Pierce. Nelle was a faithful member of Westside Church of Christ and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening and was considered a master gardener. Nelle was a member of the 8th Review Club, the David Craig Chapter of the DAR, the Freed Hardeman Associates, as well as a founding member of Town and Country Garden Club. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Nelle is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Joyner Fox (Amanda) of Crockett Mills, TN and Zachary Davis Fox of Brownsville, TN; one daughter, Amy Fox Norville (Sam) of Bells, TN; and one sister, Janice Pierce Naylor of Brownsville, TN. She leaves a legacy of six grandchildren, Meagan Holt (Grayson), Margaret Ellen Harper (Joel), McKenzie Blitchington (Sam), Samantha Bourgeois (Joseph), Luke Norville, Savannah Thompson (Dylan), and eight great-grandchildren, Owen Harper, Ellis Harper, Jack Harper, Enoch Holt, Hazel Holt, Anniston Bourgeois, Atticus Thompson, and Joyner Blitchington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie “Jack” Joyner Fox; her parents, Harold D. and Alice Hungerford Pierce; and two brothers, Sutton Eugene Pierce and Leonard Burchard Pierce.
Pallbearers for the service will be Grayson Holt, Joel Harper, Sam Blitchington, Joseph Bourgeois, Dylan Thompson and Davis Orange.
The family has requested memorials be made to the Westside Church of Christ, 3235 Hwy. 54 W., Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
