Nellie Loyd Batchelor

Nellie Loyd Batchelor was born on November 17, 1950, in Wynne, Arkansas. In the early morning hours of Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:05 a.m., she peacefully entered eternal rest at Unity Health–White County Medical Center, six weeks after sustaining injuries from a motor vehicle accident.

Nellie was reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, her husband, Danny; her beloved parents, John Arlice Loyd and Fannie Vestal Loyd; and her precious daughter, Andrea Dannell Johnson.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted daughters, Renee Betts-Walker and Sonya Denise Miller; her seven cherished grandchildren-Dylan, Slade, Damon, Brett, Weston, Averey, and Kierra; and seven great-grandchildren who were a special joy to her heart.

Nellie's greatest happiness was found in the simple, beautiful moments of life. She treasured time spent with her family, nurturing her garden, camping under open skies, and searching for hidden treasures in thrift stores. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

There will be a memorial service at First United Methodist Church, 122 West Race Street, Searcy, AR at 2 pm Central time. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in Nellie's name at Powell Funeral Home to assist in the payment of final services.
