Nellie "Walowen" Kuzmenchuk

Nellie Kuzmenchuk (nee Walowen), 99, of Southampton, New Jersey, passed away on January 5, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Anna (nee Bogdan) Walowen, Nellie was a longtime resident of Turnersville, New Jersey before moving back to Leisuretowne in Southampton, New Jersey in 2024. She was a devout and active parishioner of the Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross in Medford, NJ and longtime member of their Sisterhood, St. Helena's Guild.

A loving, compassionate and selfless woman, Nellie always put others needs before her own. Her work ethic and boundless amount of energy were inspirations to her family and Nellie's ability to listen with an open heart to lend understanding and perspective. Besides tending to her flower gardens, baking and being the most gracious host, there was nothing more important than time spent with her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Harry Kuzmenchuk; devoted mother of Ann Kuzmenchuk (predeceased at birth), Marianne Kuzmenchuk, Gregory M. Kuzmenchuk (Lydia) and Barbara A. Mosser; cherished grandmother of Julia (Keith), Kira (Gabe), Lauren, Gregory, Nicholas and great grandmother of Adaline. Nellie is predeceased by her six siblings.

Family and friends are invited to attend Nellie's viewing on Monday, January 12, 2026, 5:00 - 7:00 PM with Parastas at 7:00 PM and Tuesday, January 13, 2026, 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross, 11 Wilkins Station Road, Medford, NJ 08055. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery 350 Province Line Road Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross.
