Nelson was born in Atlantic City NJ to Nelson Snowden and Sarah Snowden (Nee Eckert) on November 6th 1957. He then later lived in
Northfield, NJ before moving to Egg Harbor Township. It was there where he raised his family.
Nelson was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports especially his Eagles. He also loved driving tractor trailers while working for Harrison Beverage and Warren Distributing Co South. And grew to miss it during his retirement.
He enjoyed coaching girls basketball for PAL, going to the Somers Point beach concerts on Friday nights in the Summer, and trick or treating with his grandkids for Halloween.
He could be found just hanging on his porch drinking his coffee, feeding the birds, and chasing the squirrels away from the feeders.
He would do anything for his family and friends and loved fiercely. He made everyone who knew him laugh at all the stories he shared.
The family wishes to thank AccentCare Hospice for their compassionate care.
A visitation will be held at Adams-Perfect on October 10th from 9:00AM until 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 AM at St. Joes Roman Catholic Church in Somers Point, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mays Landing, NJ, all are welcome.
We ask that you all wear an Eagles jersey/shirt or the color green to celebrate his love for the Philadelphia Eagles.
