Neta K. Nelson

Neta K. (Fouse) Nelson, 65, of Gilpin Township, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, in her residence. A daughter of the late George Fouse and Lillian (McGee) Fouse, she was born Dec. 11, 1956, in Bitburgh, Germany. Neta had been employed as an LPN by Harmar Village Care Center, Cheswick, for 17 years before retiring in 2021. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed reading. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Richard A. Nelson, of Gilpin Township; a son, Richard G. Nelson, of Gilpin Township; a daughter, Kristen M. Custis (Jeffrey), of Campti, La.; two grandsons, Jeffrey Kain Custis, of Campti, La., and Jaxon Reid Custis, of Campti, La.; two brothers, Dale Fouse, of Hampton, Va., Andy Fouse, of Gilpin Township; a sister, Brenda Salyers, of Ashland, Ky.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be welcomed by her family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at the CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, PA 15656, 724-842-1051, where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.
