Nettie Irene Brown, 82 of Big Sandy, passed away on October 1, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 14,1943 to the late William Emory Hobbs and Ruth Ima Menefee.
She enjoyed a successful career in food service, where she dedicated her efforts and skills to serving her community. She lived a meaningful life, filled with experiences and memories that she shared with those around her.
Nettie is survived by her son, Billy Williamson Jr. and wife Terri, daughters, Melinda Williamson and Mary Williams and husband Joel, sister, Dorothy Garner, grandchildren, Misty Dickerson and husband Randy, Whitney Darland and husband Billy, Myles Dotson, Robert Dotson and Christan Carter, along with 16 great-grandchildren, Randy, Zachriahy, Raven, Travis, Andrew, Hayli, Shawn, Cason, Sharon, Alexa, Nicole, Jay, Caleb, Dawson, Miley and Kopelynn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Cleo Brown, brothers, Dewitt Garner, Percy "Buster" Garner, Odell Hobbs, Alford Hobbs, and sisters, Lillie McFatridge, Willie Smith, Maudell Jones, and Addlou Reveill.
Graveside services for Nettie Brown will be October 4, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Hoover Cemetery in Big Sandy the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service also at the cemetery.
