Neva Moon Obituary
She was born August 1, 1928 in Jamestown, TN to Wheeler Rose Clayborn and Veary Belle (Pennycuff) Clayborn. She was a member of Frogge Chapel United Baptist Church. Neva enjoyed taking care of babies, sewing, flowers and gardening, and feeding anyone that came through the door.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Wheeler and Veary Clayborn; husband: Drannon Moon; (1) daughter: Carlene Hargrove; (1) son: David Moon; (2) sons-in-law: Ken Farmer and Herbert Crabtree; (4) brothers: Sammy, Oz, James and Ernest Clayborn; (2) sisters: Maggie Moon and Thelma Hurst.
Neva is survived by (2) daughters: Linda Crabtree, Barbara Smith and husband: Alan; (2) sons: Mark Moon and wife: Bertha Faye, Kip Moon and wife: Sandy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; (2) sisters: Nell Brown and Lillian Hicks. Also survived by other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel. Bro. Seth Moon, Bro. Ethan Moon and Bro. Rick Cross will be officiating. The burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM.
