Barb Knotts
March 12, 2026
It happened because of a phone call in 2018. I called and introduced myself as one of her new P.E.O. (Chapter CD) sisters. We chatted for over an hour. Thus began a friendship that grew when we discovered St. Theodore´s Episcopal Church was `our church´.
In the intervening years we shopped together at Dillard´s, savored butter pecan blizzards, gave many dogs (and one cat) treats, got the gals together for coconut cream pie eaten with Neva´s best silver&china, regularly enjoyed lunch together, shared good reads, and prayed together during eucharistic visits.
Family was always a favorite topic...visits from Jeff and Cari were discussed for weeks. The photo kiosk from Phil and Nancy sat right next to her chair. The changing photos helped us remember the stories of our lives. We were different, yet the same. We called ourselves `sisters by different mothers´. Sisters in many ways and forever.
