Nicholas Conti

Nicholas M. Conti, 85, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence with his family at his side. He was the husband of Rose Ann (Cirillo) for 57 years before his passing.

Born in Bristol, he was the son of the late Luigi and Caroline (Maturi) Conti Baum.

Nicholas was a communicant of our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He graduated from Colt Memorial High School in 1958 and then attended Vaughn Barbering School in 1959. He served our nation in the United States Army Reserve during the Vietnam era.

Nicholas was the co-owner of County Road Barbershop in Barrington, RI for many years and served as the barber for the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching and talking about sports in the barbershop. He enjoyed cooking and yardwork; but most of all he loved spending time with his family and Bear, his beloved Shih Tzu.

He is survived by his wife Rose; his children: Nicholas M. Conti, Jr. and Mary (Conti) Alves (Alexander); his grandchildren: Noah A. Alves and Morgan Mary Rose Alves; his brother: Louis G. Conti; and many extended relatives and friends.

Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the UNICEF K.I.N.D. fund, Potter League for Animals, or HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center.
