In memory of
Heidi Hutchison
December 6, 2022
I love my brother so much. Sometimes my mind doesn't always remember this is coming up but my body always does. He was beautiful inside and out, creative and smart. He would be so proud of his beautiful daughter who I think looks so much like him. He was the bright star in my sky that kept me sane and grounded. He loved me and was by biggest champion and supporter even when I got on his nerves, and even when he said I was just like our mother. I love him and miss him so much my bones ache.

Nicky,
I miss you so much. It has been 6 years today. I can't believe it has been that long. I wish you could see your beautiful daughter. She really does look just like you...they say she's "Nicky in a dress!" My heart aches for you, especially today. I know you are with Mommie. I miss you both so much, it is like two huge pieces of my heart are gone, or my limbs have been removed. You guys were, are my core...I love you and will see you again, I know it.
February 19, 2013
Nicky, Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and wish you were here to see the beautiful daughter that carries on your legacy. She has your beautiful blue eyes, dimpled chin and outstanding personality. She loves looking at pictures and hearing stories about you. You would be so proud of her. She is amazing! Thank you!

Joanie & Michael, what can I say, sorry just doesn't cover something like this. You and your families will be in our thoughts and prayers. Dom and I were just talking about you guys, and our time together just a few weeks ago. I remember Nicholas as the cutest kid in the world. Memories like this probably don't help much in times like these but my thoughts and memories of you both and your family are wonderful ones. God Bless You ...... Craig Phillips

Joanie & Michael,
I just learned about this, and I am stunned and saddened. Both Cindi and me are just speechless, and we wanted you both to know that we both remember Nicky when he was just a little guy listening to our rehearsals way back when. I wish we could have known him in more recent years, because he sounds like he was just a terrific person, someone who must have made you both very proud. Please drop us a note when you get a chance so we can catch up.
love,

It's a crappy day, but the noon churchbells are ringing, reminding me of the special mass that has been arranged for Nick on his birthday, September 27th. September is such a beautiful month, and it would be a great day for friends and family to get together and say "Happy Birthday" to the person we all love and miss SO much. Mass will be said at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows church in Linwood. If anyone has any questions, please call me at 609-653-4281.

Amanda and family,
I'm sure you all know how very much we miss Nick around here. Forget the broken closet door, it's his smile and friendship that my family and I were so blessed to have known. He started out as the painter, but as you know, he was and always will be so much more. We love you Nick!

Amanda,
I'm sorry it took me so long to write to you. What do you really say to someone who has lost the love of their life? I enjoyed so much to see the love written all over your face everytime you talked about Nick. I think about you all the time and I express my deepest condolences for your lost. May you and the baby be healthy.

On behalf of his sisters, and myself, Thanks to everyone who made Nick's benefit such a wonderful tribute to his full and joyful life. Your generosity and lovingkindness was overwhelming and touched all of us deeply.(and Nick would have been very touched by that Celebration; of this I am certain.) We are hoping to work on a Memorial Golf Tournament in his memory along with his wide circle of friends/family, and are hopeful to make that a reality. It has been a difficult time, these past almost three months. But, your support for all of us is so greatly appreciated. Thank you, every one. Keep us, especially Amanda and the baby in your prayers. Lovingly, Joanie Connor, Nicky's mom.

If anyone could change a gray sky to blue, it was Nick. We will always remember him for the extraordinary person he was and thank him for his friendship and kindnesses over the years. We are all truly blessed to have known Nick, if even for just a short time. We love you Nick!
Amanda - It was so nice to see you at the benefit last night. The tremendous outpouring of love and support was especially awesome, and just goes to show what a terrific human being your husband really was. We will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers. Love, Patty

Amanda,
You had the great gift of loving Nick. Nick was always someone special. He understood what it was to love someone unconditionally regardless of...The last time I saw Nick you and Nick were at my home. He had done some work for me and he just had to come back and put his mark of perfection on it. Nick grew up three homes away from ours. Our son Bruce and Nick, Tony grew up like brothers. Nick would often tell me I'm everybody's mom. Losing Nick is like losing a son. I feel your pain, your loss and your sadness but as my 5 year old grand-daughter put it so sadly "I didn't pray hard enough because Nick died but he is in heaven with the angels". We truly believe this. May you, your unborn child, his father, mother and sisters and all the people that knew and love him find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain.

Dear Amanda, I can't begin to express how sorry I am for the loss of your husband. I can't even imagine how hard things must be for you at this time. I wish I could offer some comforting words that could take away some of your pain. I felt very fortunate to be able to hang out with you and Nicky at Heidi's wedding and after the wedding. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care and I can't wait to hear about the birth of your child. Much love, Roxann Milton (Heidi's friend in Baltimore)

Dear Michael,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son, Nick. I met him at your home years ago when Carol Ravelli and I stopped in. I taught at Absegami in the '70's and remember you. I also lost my son on the 4th of July, 1998. He had just turned seventeen. During that devastating time, a friend of mine told me: Memories are a gift from God that death cannot take away. I think about my son, Bobby, every day and we talk about him all of the time. Some days I can talk about him without crying but there are many times I cry, and that is alright. I want my family and friends to think of him and talk about his life. My daughter named her son Robert after her little brother. It is bitter sweet. My grandson is only 6 now but he has a lot of things from his Uncle Bobby, his KX125, his two surfboards and his snowboard that some day he may want to use. He knows his uncle from the pictures we have around and all of the stories we tell. If you ever want to talk, Carol can give you my phone number. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I pray for your unborn grandchild and hope everything goes well. The baby can learn so much about his father from all of you.
With deepest regards,
Linda Gray

Amanda and Family,
I am so sorry to just have heard of your loss. We all grow up and some move away but that dose not mean we forget where we came from and who we grew up with. I remember getting my hair cut at the Booth's and he was always around making everyone laugh. Words can not describe what you are going through and I am so sorry for this time in your life. May this child bring you all the joy and blessings that you deserve. God Speed.

Mr. Mike and Amanda, I am so sorry for your loss. Nick was like a big brother. Someone I looked up to. When I heard the news I remembered the good times in the neighborhood, like playing hacky-sack & wiffle ball in the street, letting off fireworks at Mr. Mike's by the water during our 4th of July gathering, teaching Brian & me to play pool upstairs. As I got older, we communicated on a more grown up level. He was cool. I will miss seeing him around.

We are very sad to hear of the news of Nick's passing. Our prayers are for Nick's family and friends. We have been neighbors with Nick & Mike since 1984. What a great kid, with those big blue eyes and his cute gap between his teeth..He was the big brother of the neighborhood boys!
There are no words to say to help you feel any better, but know that there are so many people out there that love you & are there for you.
God Bless!

I just learned of Nick's passing. I have not seen him for at least 20 years, but I knew him when he was a little one and I can still see his eyes sparkle as he slicked his hair back with his dad's brylcreem - looking like st. joseph's salad. What an incredible loss, my heart goes out to Heidi, Krista, Joan, & Michael. My sincere condolences to the entire family, including those that that I do no know. I am certain that he is an angel.

I only have fond memories of Nick through the years. I still remember when Tony brought Nick over our house when they were 5 years old. "You haven't changed one bit since high school." I remember paying Nick this compliment at our high school reunion a couple years ago, as he remained the genuinely sweet and charmingly funny guy that I had remembered.
My last memory of Nick was from this past summer as he inquired about the good, bad, and ugly of parenthood. From that conversation and just knowing Nick, I knew that he adored Amanda and was ready to start a family. I am truly sorry to see that he did not get that chance.
To Amanda and family, you especially have suffered a tremendous loss. My heart goes out to all of you.

Nick was one of the kindest persons I've ever known. When he and Amanda were sitting down with me for their pre-marital counseling, I got the impression they cared as much for me as I cared for them. They were so thoughtful and considerate. It was incredible. I remember praying for them and asking God to give them a growing love for each other. Their wedding day was a wonderful memory.
When I lost my dad, I remember the one thing that helped me thru that time was to try to remember what a great man he was and to try to be more like him. For all who knew Nick I think the same can be said... when we remember him, try to let his example live in us. I believe Nick is in heaven today, so we will miss him, but one day, on the other shore, we'll see each other again.

Dear Aunt Joannie, Michael, Amanda, baby of love, Heidi and Krista...We all loved Nicky so much!! He was always sunshine and love! Being 12 years older than my cousin Nicky, I was blessed to see him grow up before our family's eyes from day one. Nicky has the heart of angels and one of the purest souls I have ever known. Nothing came from Nicky but love which he showed to everyone blessed to have known him even for a minute. I can only smile when I think of him. One of my fondest memories was when he was about 2 and he was running around his yard smiling and laughing in nothing but his birthday suit. And how he loved to drink "coffee" with his milk. And, as a man, you are the love of Amanda's life and your wedding was such a beautiful day. What an incredible father you would be. We will miss you and love you forever!

Nick,
I'm devastated by the news of your passing. Though we haven't seen each other in years (prob since our first year of Holy Spirit) I'll never forget the kind of person you were. We played almost every sport together growing up. Oriole Baseball offered my fondest memories of you. You always had such a huge heart on and off the field. You knew how to have fun but you also knew how to be a good friend. I never told you that your passion for life and your unique, genuine personality was always an inspiration to me. I'll never forget that about you. To this day you are one of the nicest people I've ever known. You'll be missed but never forgotten my friend. May God Bless Your Soul.
Mr. DiDomenico, my deepest condolences go out to you and your family. I remember seeing you at every single one of our games, I don't think you missed any. You supported all of us and we all respected you and your relationship with Nick. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My heart, my thoughts, my prayers are with you and your family.

We didn't know what to write...it's such a sad day, to lose such an amazing person so suddenly, but I think this poem expressed it all.
I think of you often
and make no outward show,
But what it means to lose you,
no one will ever know
You wished no one farewell,
not even said good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
You are not forgotten
nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memories last,
I will remember thee.
To some you may be forgotten,
to others a part of the past,
But to me who loved you dearly,
your memories will always last.
Nothing can be more beautiful
than the memories I have of you.
To me, you were someone special,
God must have thought so too!
If tears could build a staircase
and memories a lane,
I would walk all the way to Heaven,
and bring you back again

I dont know where to start, Nick and I were teammates we played High school and Township baseball together. We played our hearts out every game, and heckled alot of opposing pitchers from the dugout. Although we may have heckled, it was all just trying to win a game,(if we were to score every time we were harrassing oppossing teams, we would of went undefeated!)I remember his face first slide one game and he came up 2 ft short of second base, chin cut up and all. I dont know if he ever did per-fect that slide over in years to come, also when Ian broke his nose one night at the field, Nick felt so bad you would of thought his nose was broke not Ians, Ian didn't care as much as Nick did. My families prayers are with his during these trying times. You will be missed Nick.

Growing up, Nick was the brother I never had. We'd jump on a tube, and kick our way down the river, or play wiffleball with whoever wasn't busy doing homework. We once stole all of his dad's couch cushins to build rubberband gun forts, and we played bartenders at a party for his mom.
Nick was charming, intelligent, and very funny. Times were always fun when Nick was around. Since moving back home, I had hoped to spend more time with him, fishing and playing baseball. I will miss him terribly, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, his family, and all of his friends.
Nicky, you will be in our hearts, and you will always be missed.

I first met Nick when he was a little boy, and I was already in college. In 1987, he became my stepbrother, when his mom married my dad. Given our 16-year age difference, we never lived in the same home, and living away from South Jersey for the last 21 years, I only saw him about once a year. However, I knew Nick was a great guy, a real man.
Only three weeks ago, we spent time together watching the Patriots play the Bills. I was in Baltimore for Heidi's wedding, and Nick and my dad were doing some serious work on her new home. That day gave me a lasting impression of him: doing for others, and his passion for football and sports. No matter what happens this season (being from Boston now, I'm a Pats fan and hope they will go 19-0), that will be my best memory of this season. Talking and watching football with Nick and my dad-does life get any better?
So, for all you football fans, when you watch the Super Bowl this year, do something for Nick: thank your friends for watching football with you. Life is so unpredictable: you never know if it will be the last time you can share such an experience.
Nick-I'm glad we could watch football together. Thank you for that day.

I went to school with Nick. This has been a year where it seems i've been to a lot of funerals of old classmates. It has taught me to treasure the day and love today. My heart and prayers and with your family.

I remember one day in September of third grade, my new friend Heidi told me her mom had just had a baby. "His name is Nicholas," she said. As a kid, I spent countless weekends with Heidi, Krista and Nicky. Their baby brother was truly the apple of his sisters' eyes. Through the thirty some years of my friendship with Heidi and her family, I only knew Nicky as a joy to his sisters, his mom Joanie, and Dad, Michael. As the years passed by, everytime I would see Nicky, he would make me smile. The adorable baby that used to run around in diapers, with the brightest blue eyes and a tuft of blonde hair had grown into such a cool and wonderful man.
He always had a twinkle in his eye and would make me laugh with his quick wit and wise cracking comments. He will be sorely missed.
To Amanda, Joanie, Michael, Heidi and Krista: There is nothing I can say that can express how terribly sorry I am for your loss. I love you all and am praying hard for God to give you comfort and peace in this time of need.
Love always,
Amy

Nick, you will be very missed by family and friends. There was not a year that went by that you and i shared the same passion for being a catcher. We would always compare different ways of handling certain in game situations and we had a hell of a time doing it. You will also be remembered for being a great friend to whom ever needed you. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Didomenico family and his wife Amanda.

In all the years I've known you, I can only remember smiles. You were always so optimistic and constantly in good spirits. Your clever, quit-witted humor will forever remain in all of our hearts. You could make light of ANY situation. Thank you Nick for showing me that life is what you make it. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. May God bless your soul.
